Do I have to be famous to get a customized Diet Coke bottle?
Jessica Lowndes poses with her customized Diet Coke bottle at a Coca Cola event. I’m going to miss Jessica as Adrianna Tate-Duncan on 90210. The show might have gone downhill, but I’m a diehard Beverly Hills 90210 fan, and I don’t want to see the franchise end. Even when Adrianna switched up Silver’s bipolar medication and stole music from a dead guy, she was delightfully insane. Seriously, she was my second-favorite crazy bitch on the new 90210. Only Naomi was better.
I’ll miss you, Adrianna. And I’m insanely jealous of your Diet Coke bottle, Jessica.
Stay extraordinary, Jessica!
Spoiler alert for this post: I WANT YOUR HELP!
Taylor Swift the face of Diet Coke now, and it’s awesome. The commercial where she ponders the lyrics of 22? BRILLIANT. I plan to re-enact that commercial and the 22 music video during my 22nd birthday this summer. It will be the best night of my life.
Diet Coke recently announced their annual T-shirt design contest with Target (http://www.dietcoke.com/designerchallenge/?utm_source=fb&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=04102013&utm_content=ydc&WT.mc_id=social_fb_04102013+ydc). Winner will receive $10,000 and have their T-shirt sold in Target. And they will meet Taylor Swift. I can’t design stuff, but if you can and win, feel free to keep the money and give me the tickets to meet Taylor.
WANT TO HELP OUT A FELLOW DIET COKE LOVER? Then tweet @DietCoke or post on facebook.com/dietcoke with the link to this blog. Why? Because I want to meet Taylor Swift and I want you to convince them to let me meet Taylor. Send them the link to this post. Tell them how much I love celebrities and Diet Coke. Tell them that I just want to interview Taylor all about Diet Coke. I imagine the two of us sitting on a couch with her cat Meredith and drinking Diet Coke from champagne glasses. And singing a song about Diet Coke. We’ll talk about the moment she realized she was a Diet Coke addict.
Is this a pathetic plea? Oh yeah. But I like hobbies, and drinking Diet Coke with Taylor Swift can be my new favorite hobby! So tell Diet Coke to make my dreams come true! Bonus points if you convince them to let me drink Diet Coke with Taylor Swift on my 22nd birthday at the end of August.
Diet Coke reps or whatever: I want to work for you. I want to talk to Taylor for you so everyone knows why Diet Coke is the greatest beverage ever. You can fly me out to Nashville or bring her here to Boston, I don’t care. This probably won’t work, but whatever. I tried. And on the off chance this does work: Diet Coke, you are the best.
Gregg Sulkin (the guy in the photo who is alone and pointing his phone at the countertop) played werewolf Mason Greyback on Wizards of Waverly Place and occasionally plays Wesley Fitz on Pretty Little Liars. He’s very pretty, and he’s British.
This Fall, Gregg will star in the television show Delirium, based on books by Lauren Oliver (assuming Fox picks up the show). If that goes well, Gregg is on his way to becoming a big name, or at least someone with a poster in the pages of Tiger Beat.
He recently developed an addiction to Vine. His friend posted a Vine of Gregg filming a Vine, and I couldn’t help but catch the bottle of Diet Coke in the frame.
Is Gregg drinking the Diet Coke? Maybe. Let’s assume so.
Stay extraordinary Gregg! Since you love Diet Coke, I’ll forgive you for never responding to the fan letter my old roommate and I sent you last year.
If you aren’t watching Veep, you are seriously missing out. Julia Louis-Dreyfus is amazing, and the supporting cast is even better.
But I have to ask: Who is drinking the Diet Coke in this scene? It is the closest to Catherine Meyer (played by Sarah Sutherland aka Jack Bauer’s real-life daughter), so the obvious assumption is that she is the one with the Diet Coke. But Julia Louis-Dreyfus was seen drinking a Diet Coke as Elaine Benes back in her Seinfeld days, so maybe she’s the Diet Coke fan.
While Gary (played by Tony Hale) seems like the least likely choice to be drinking the Diet Coke, due to his distance form the can, I wouldn’t put it past Buster Bluth to enjoy a nice, cold can of aspartame.
So who is drinking the Diet Coke? My guess is Selina Meyer.
Stay extraordinary, cast of Veep!
Charlize Theron is basically the spokesperson for celebrities who love Diet Coke. I know Taylor Swift is the actual spokesperson, but Charlize is spotted with Diet Coke more often. And I’m almost certain that Young Adult was a movie about the side effects of too much Diet Coke consumption.
Here is Charlize clutching her can of Diet Coke as she heads into a meeting at Disney. She’s living the dream and basically perfect.
Charlize is near the top of my list of Diet Coke loving celebrities I’d like to share a Diet Coke with (Christina Ricci, Hilary Duff, Chace Crawford, Taylor Swift, and Carey Mulligan round out that list, but once Bradley Cooper is seen with a Diet Coke, he is taking the top spot. I’m waiting.).
Stay extraordinary, Charlize!

Elaine Benes, I love you.
Ever since someone introduced me to the Twitter @seinfeldtoday, I’ve been obsessed with Seinfeld all over again. I’ve been watching with my parents since I was in elementary school, and the show is still perfect. I never even realized that Elaine was a fellow Diet Coke lover. I guess the two of us have more in common than amazing dance moves.
Stay extraordinary, Elaine Benes/Julia Louis-Dreyfus. I hope to see Selina Meyer knocking back a Diet Coke on Veep very soon!
I never understood why people were so obsessed with Helena Bonham Carter. Then I watched the Harry Potter movies and finally finished reading the books. Damn, she makes an awesome Bellatrix. She actually turned Bellatrix into my favorite character, which most of my friends find disturbing (I swear I’m not evil or crazy!). So now I understand. Helena Bonham Carter is fucking amazing.
Stay extraordinary, Helena! I’m sorry I doubted you, and I hope you accept my apology over a round of Diet Cokes someday.
Here is a picture of Zooey Deschanel drinking Diet Coke. I don’t know what else to say. I love Zooey. I love New Girl. I love She & Him. I love Hello Giggles. I love Elf. I love (500) Days of Summer. I even love Failure to Launch and those cotton commercials others found irritating.
It’s finally happened. I have nothing snarky to say about a celebrity.
Stay extraordinary, Zooey! Or do something not extraordinary, just to give me something snarky to say.
I’ll admit it, I’ve seen a few episodes of Victorious, and I’ve kind of enjoyed them. Ariana Grande, seen here with a fancy Diet Coke bottle, played Cat on Victorious up until its cancellation. Now she’s going to reprise that role on Sam & Cat, a Victorious/iCarly spin-off hybrid. I’ll just share with you what I told my friend after reading the spin-off summary: “Shouldn’t Nickelodeon be teaching kids to go to college? Did Sam and Cat even graduate high school? And Sam will end up murdering a child while Cat just stares at a butterfly. This is an AWFUL idea.”
What I’m saying is, I am strangely invested in Ariana Grande’s career. And my little cousins are fans of hers, so I look forward to hate-watching an episode or two of Sam & Cat. Stay extraordinary, Ariana!
